AFTER Slovak gas utility SPP decided to increase gas prices for households by 22 percent from October this year, a similar step awaits businesses as well, according to the Pravda daily.
According to a source within the SPP management, the company plans to make a request for an increase to the regulatory authority. According to the source, it would be a 10-percent or more increase.
The SPP is unwilling to say the exact extent of the planned price increase. However, SPP spokesperson Dana Kršáková admitted that SPP plans to "adjust the [gas] prices upwards from January 1, 2006".
