THE SLOVAK cabinet approved a bill on student loans that could lead to the introduction of university tuition fees from next January.
All ministers of the four-party government supported the bill, which proposes the introduction of a system of loans and grants for university students, according to the news wire TASR.
The bill also includes the introduction of tuition fees, which has already been postponed twice in the past year. It now must be passed in parliament, where the minority government will have to rely on support from independent MPs to push it through.
