THE SLOVAK cabinet approved a document on fixed pricing for the whole duration of motorway, dual carriageway and the first category roads construction projects.
Thus, the costs of road construction should not change during the construction. The prices may change only if the contractor does not finish all works on time due to obstacles on the part of the procurer, the SITA news agency wrote.
In the past the prices of road construction projects often increased from the original bid in project tenders. The construction companies argued that the prices had to go up because of changes in real expenses during the construction projects.
