Funding for projects corresponding to the priority areas of the strategy should be secured within the public administration budget, without increasing demands on the state budget overall. The most important financial source should be European Union structural funds, the SITA newswire wrote. Within the Informatisation of Society Operational Programme, €993.1 million has been earmarked.

Other potential financial sources include subsidies from the EU communitarian programmes, as well as support by foundations, grants, private investments or the activities of the third sector. The strategy also requires monitoring the development achieved through informatisation. Monitoring will be carried out once a year using a set of measurable indicators.
