Cabinet deal to be signed today

The four centre-right parties forming the next cabinet will meet later today to sign a coalition agreement in Bratislava and to meet with President Rudolf Schuster, only 16 days after securing a narrow majority in parliamentary elections.

Schuster is then to name current Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda the country’s next leader on October 15 following an inaugural session of parliament at which the outgoing 1998-2002 Dzurinda administration will tender its resignation.
