A NEW daily newspaper called 24 hodín (24 hours) will be out on stands on August 31, the SITA news agency wrote.
The daily will feature news, politics, economics, sports and culture as well as stories from the world of celebrities and show business.
Ivan Čeredejev, the director of publishing house Pegas 2 Slovakia, said that the editorial office of the new daily would have 50 employees working on a 24-page issue. An expanded Friday issue will have 32 pages, including an overview of television programs.
The daily's editor-in-chief, Milan Stanislav, said the main focus of interest would be on sports; that section will have 8 pages.
The daily will include special reports on computers, science and car racing, as well as advisories for readers and consumers, a supplement for women and a supplement on health.
