Dušan Čaplovič, Slovakia's Deputy PM for a Knowledge-Based Society, European Affairs, Human Rights and Minorities, is to visit Prague on October 27-28 to mark the 90th anniversary of the founding of the first Czechoslovak Republic, it was announced on October 26.
Čaplovič will lay wreaths at the statues of the first Czechoslovak president, Tomáš G. Masaryk, and of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik.
Čaplovič will also open an exhibition in the National Museum dedicated to the founding of the Czechoslovak Republic, and an exhibition entitled 'France and the Founding of Czechoslovakia: a Joint Path to a Democratic Europe (1914-1925)'. He will also take part in the opening ceremony of an exhibition called 'Slovak Paintings in History'. At the Slovak Institute in Prague, Čaplovič will meet Slovaks living in the Czech Republic and will attend a concert of the Jary Civic Association in the Rudolfinum. He has also been invited to a military inspection to mark the founding of Czechoslovakia, Čaplovič's spokesperson, Erika Adamová, told the state-run TASR newswire. TASR
