INTERIOR Ministry inspectors claim they have exposed three policemen involved in car thefts.
In separate incidents in Bratislava and Trnava the policemen are alleged to have told people who had had cars stolen that they could have their cars back for a price.
Two cops in Bratislava told the owner of a VW Passat he reported stolen that they would tell him where the car was and when to pick it up if he paid them Sk200,000 ($4,000).
In Trnava, 50 kilometres from the capital, another policeman said he would do the same for a fee of Sk50,000 ($1,000).
The revelations come just weeks after Austrian investigators claimed that Slovak policemen were working with car thieves in Bratislava to help steal cars.
