According to auto industry association data, 70,933 vehicles were sold in Slovakia last year, a seven per cent decline from the previous year, with the Czech Škoda carmaker taking a 44.2 per cent market share, followed by VW (9.5 per cent) and Renault (9.4).
Industry experts said the fall had occurred mainly in economy car sales, with luxury brands recording a slight increase.
