PRESIDENT of the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry Peter Mihók was elected first vice-chairman of the World Chambers Federation (WCF) based in New York at a session of the WCF General Council on October 15. Pursuant to the statutes of the organisation, Mihók has thus been designated its future chairman.
"Slovakia has acquired a key position in international business structures through this election, since Peter Mihók also is a member of the Executive Board of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the Deputy President of Eurochambres Brussels," Gejza Pinter of the IT and communications department at the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry told the SITA newswire.
The Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry supports businesses in Slovakia and Slovak entrepreneurs abroad. The chamber is a member of the ICC in Paris and a regular member of Eurochambres Brussels, which groups 1,300 chambers of commerce and industry, comprising about 14 million European companies. (SITA)
