Jaroslav Naď, a former employee of the Defence Ministry and security expert who joined the Ordinary People and Independent Personalities (OĽaNO) movement, no longer stands accused of leaking classified information.
The investigator of the National Criminal Agency (NAKA) dropped the charges on November 29 after the main witness changed his testimony, thus eliminating the reason for the charges being laid, the police informed on Facebook.
A security threat alleged
Naď was suspected of endangering classified information. NAKA accused him of asking about classified facts that he was supposed to pass on to other people. More specifically, Naď said the accusation against him pertains to his questions regarding the attack on double agent Sergei Skripal in the UK in 2018. Naď allegedly questioned someone from the “security environment” about it.
