“It is possible to submit an appeal against this decision within three days,” said the court’s spokesperson Marcela Gálová, as quoted by the TASR newswire.
The appeal should be filed with the Supreme Court which would also deal with it.
Hamzat S. (32) was detained at the Vyšné Nemecké (Košice Region) border crossing between Slovakia and Ukraine on January 15. When checking his documents and comparing them with the Interpol database, the police discovered that he is wanted in Russia on suspicion of committing acts of terrorism. An international arrest warrant for him was issued in 2007.
The Košice Regional Court took the man into preliminary custody on January 19.
