According to party chairman Pavol Hrušovský, the sentence is a sign that torture based on anti-discrimination legislation has began and he plans to send a protest letter to his Swedish counterpart.

Interior Minister Vladimír Palko talked about the tyranny of "leftist-liberal ideology" in Europe. He wants to discuss the issue with the Swedish ambassador.

The Christian Democratic Movement is against Europe's liberal attitude towards homosexuals.
