MAREK Hamšík, the 23-year-old Slovak football star currently playing as a midfielder for the Italian club Napoli, might soon change colours and move north. The media reported on December 7 that Italy’s famed FC Juventus is again interested in his services.
Juventus has reportedly offered Napoli two players, Amauri and Mohamed Sissoko, plus €10 million in return for Hamšík.
Manchester United has also been mentioned in connection with Hamšík’s future career. The 'Red Devils' have reportedly been monitoring his progress for 12 months. United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is thought to be planning to use Hamšík to replace Paul Scholes in the central formation of the Old Trafford team. Scholes is nearing the end of his career.
However, Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has different plans. He has already said that he won’t let Hamšík go for less than €30 million. Another club, Russia’s Zenit Petersburg, has reportedly already offered this amount.
Any transfer would most likely take place in summer 2011, the affaritaliani.it website reported, according to the Sme daily.
