THE RULING parties jointly appealed to voters to ignore the referendum on early elections that will take place on April 3.
"All who are against early elections will best express their attitude by not participating in the elections," said Pavol Rusko, chairman of the New Citizen's Alliance.
A voter turnout lower than 50 percent would make the referendum invalid.
The opposition, meanwhile, is calling on the electorate to go to the referendum, and want to carry out a parallel count of the votes to ensure fair results, the Slovak daily Pravda wrote.
