THE ELECTION commission has registered all 21 parties that submitted lists of candidates for general elections in June, and barred only one candidate from running because he was too young.

Tomáš Janičina, 19, who was listed for the tiny Civic Solidarity Party (SOS) in 95th position, was excluded because the law says that candidates must be at least 21 to stand for office, the Pravda daily wrote.

Of the parliamentary parties, the SDKÚ is No 19, Smer is 18, the HZDS 14, the SMK 10, the KDH 6 and the KSS 16.
