Font size: A - | A +

The Austrian firm EVN has claimed that it offered Sk800 million more for a 49 per cent stake in energy distributor ZSE than German firm E.ON, but was still not recommended as the winner by a tender commission. The government is to decide on the winners of recent tenders for minority stakes in the country’s three electricity distributors in the coming weeks, and hopes to receive as much as Sk28.5 billion ($606 million) for the properties, according to the TASR news agency. The tender weighting was 80 per cent for price, and 20 per cent for financial strength and energy sector experience.
