Conference started on cross-border cooperation with Hungary

Slovak Deputy Prime Minister Dušan Čaplovič has said that the main aim in relations between Slovaks and Hungarians must be that the two nations behave positively to each other.

Slovak Deputy Prime Minister Dušan Čaplovič has said that the main aim in relations between Slovaks and Hungarians must be that the two nations behave positively to each other.

Čaplovič said at a conference on the cross-border cooperation between Slovakia and Hungary that prejudice, tabloid headlines and inflammatory remarks must not be allowed to influence relations.

The Cabinet's Office organized the conference, which began on April 7. The event will present results achieved within the Hungary-Slovakia-Ukraine 2004-2006 programme. It will also feature goals, priorities and the current state of preparedness for drawing of funds from the program of Slovakia-Hungary cross border cooperation for the years 2007 - 2013. SITA
