BRATISLAVA and Vienna will cooperate more closely in the area of crisis management, particularly in protection against catastrophes, based on a bilateral agreement signed by Bratislava Mayor Milan Ftáčnik and Vienna Mayor Michael Häupl in mid February in Vienna, the TASR newswire reported.
Vienna sought closer cooperation at a crisis management meeting held by the two cities last June. Based on the agreement, the capitals will exchange information related to fire protection, and their experts will pay annual visits to each other’s cities and attend specialised events and training sessions.
