A POLICE officer was charged as one of four attackers who beat up a group of Roma in Košice. On May 24 a group of five Roma, including one woman, were attacked by four men who were described by witnesses as "strong, tall, well-built and well-trained." The attackers caused the Roma injuries that included broken legs and arms.
Pavol Augustín from Bratislava's police inspection unit said the 32-year-old policeman involved in the attack was a member of the Košice motorised emergency response unit.
