Labour offices reported 22,120 vacancies in the national economy at the end of June, but they are either poorly paid or require certain qualifications, the Sme daily wrote on September 13.

If every vacancy was filled with one job candidate, the jobless rate would drop below 7.5 percent. However, most unemployed people don’t have the qualifications required for the job market.
