The firm wants the ministry to remove the consequences of these changes. "Thales is analysing the whole situation. It will undertake all the steps that the valid Slovak legislation allows," said František Kobza, a representative of the French firm in Slovakia.

According to the French company, Slovakia could have saved Sk1 billion (€26.5 million) by accepting its bid.

British company BAE Systems won the tender. It will supply the Slovak army with a system for data, voice and video communications between army units and army command. Mokys will also be used to communicate with civil operators and allied forces.
