The bankruptcy administrator for SkyEurope Airlines submitted a proposal to Bratislava I District Court on December 14 to terminate the bankruptcy proceedings against the company, the TASR newswire was told by the court's spokesman Pavol Adamčiak.
The administrator, Ľubomír Bugan, said that the reason is that SkyEurope does not have enough property for bankruptcy to continue. A complete list of property and obligations was published on December 14 in the business registry.
“The court will decide on the proposal after it is examined along with the existing evidence, while there is no legal deadline for a decision on the proposal,” said Adamčiak.
The airline’s bankruptcy proceedings began at the beginning of September. The first to learn of this move was the Austrian stock exchange where the company was registered. SkyEurope unsuccessfully attempted restructuring several months before bankruptcy was announced. TASR
