SLOVAKIA's currency broke through the 40 crowns to the euro threshold for the first time on April 26, likely thanks to foreign players, according to Slovenska sporiteľňa bank dealer Vladimír Gajdoš.
The Slovak crown is gaining muscle due to the good performance of the economy and that the country's improving image, bank analysts say.
They assume that the currency will maintain its strength.
The crown firmed by about 30 haliers to 33.64/66 against the dollar, and it reached 1.233/2345 against the Czech crown, the news wire TASR wrote.
