INDIAN culture has made a big impression on some Slovaks, as there is a whole club of enthusiasts who aim to spread the word about this distant country and its exotic culture locally.

The India Klub organises meetings among those with fond memories of India, and perhaps also those who dream of visiting it, as well as to bring some samples of its culture to their homeland. On October 23, 2012, a unique evening took place: Indian writers Hi.Chi. Boralingaiah, L. Sarma, Koyamparambath Satchidanandan, Samaresh Mazumdar and A. Krishna Murthy came to Slovakia to discuss literature and other aspects of Indian culture with their Slovak counterparts, as well as other intellectuals and fans. The event was co-organised by the Literature Information Centre and Slovak Centre of P.E.N.
