The shareholders in Slovakia's dominant gas utility, SPP, held a general meeting on Wednesday, January 23, at which they dismissed representatives of former shareholders E.ON Ruhrgas AG and GDF SUEZ from the company's top bodies, replacing them with representatives of the new shareholder, Czech firm Energetický a Průmyslový Holding (EPH), the TASR newswire reported on Thursday, quoting SPP spokesman Peter Bednár.
Daniel Křetínský became the new chairman of the managing board, replacing Hans-Gilbert Meyer, as of Thursday. Other new members of the managing board are Jan Springl, Pavel Horský and Ladislav Bartoníček, who replaced Jean-Jacques Ciazynski, Frederique Dufresnoy and Andreas Rau. Meanwhile, Peter Korbačka replaced Eric Stab as a member of the supervisory board as of Thursday.
There were also changes at Eustream, a daughter company of SPP: the general meeting decided to replace head of the board Jean-Luc Rupp with Tomáš Mareček; and Gunnara Löwensen with Vladimír Mlynář. On the supervisory board, Thierry Kalfon was replaced by Daniel Křetínský.
SPP is now owned by the Slovak Republic (51 percent) and EPH (49 percent).
