A UNIQUE collection of almost 60 drawings and engravings of the world-renowned artists Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró and Pablo Picasso will be on display at Budatín Castle beginning April 16, the cultural manager of the Považie Museum in Žilina, Adriana Brziaková, told the TASR newswire. She noted that the exhibition is the result of her museum’s long-term cooperation with the Sundermann Rüdiger gallery in the German town of Würzburg and support by local art sponsors.
Visitors to the “Dalí, Miró, Picasso Exhibition” will be able to see notable works such as Dalí’s Alice in Wonderland, Picasso’s Bulls, and Miró’s Carmen and Wonders. “It's an opportunity that surely doesn’t come every day,” said museum director Boris Schubert.
Picasso, the founder of Cubism, belongs among the best-known artists influencing modern art history; Joan Miró is renowned for his playful, minimalist works in the surrealist style; and Salvador Dalí’s works are undoubtedly connected with Surrealism – his works are shocking and fascinating at the same time. The artworks will remain on display until May 23.
