Slovak airline Danube Wings, established in 2008, and associated with tycoon Vladimir Poor wound up its air transport activities, the Hospodárske Noviny daily wrote on December 13.
“The company finished, employees were fired, the project is over,” stated an unnamed employee of the company to the daily.
The company did not comment further on the issue. Customers who have an unused air ticket from Danube Wings can contact it by e-mail to ask for a refund.
On November 29, the company cancelled its only regular in-state flight between Bratislava and Košice. Soon after Czech Airlines started regular flights on this route.
