The Danubian Biogas company plans to build a biogas-fueled power plant in the eastern Slovak town of Moldava nad Bodvou. The company wants to invest approximately €4.3 million in the project, the SITA newswire wrote.
According to the investment plans that the company has already submitted for an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), the biogas power plant will have electric output of 999 kilowatts and heat output of 1,050 kilowatts.
The start of the construction is planned for the beginning of next year and completion for June 2010. The plant is to process biomass from farm production into biogas, which will be used to generate both electricity and heat. The plant will be located in the industrial park in Moldava nad Bodvou.
