THE DEFENCE Ministry plans to announce a public tender because special reconstruction works must be carried out on the ministry's premises to prove to NATO partners that classified information will be safe.
Defence Minister Juraj Liška said that part of the reconstruction will take place in 2004 and the rest will be carried out in the coming two years.
The daily Pravda wrote on February 18 that the reconstruction includes the grounds of the Military Intelligence. Thicker walls and a special room to secure classified material in deposit safes must be built.
