THE SLOVAK government is planning to launch a €1.5 million communication campaign aimed at raising public awareness of European issues, according to the TASR news wire.
"We want to bring the European reality closer to people, to discuss the EU constitution and the economic prospects for Slovak citizens in the EU, as well as the future of Europe," Deputy Prime Minister Pál Csáky told the National Convention on the European Future of Slovakia meeting in Bratislava November 8.
The communication strategy will disseminate information using the media, lectures, and special publications.
Csáky is discussing the possibility of the EU covering half the costs of the campaign.
