Bratislava will get a direct air connection to Norway, its first ever, from March 2012, the Trend weekly wrote on its website, etrend. Low-cost airline Norwegian Air Shuttle, the second biggest in Scandinavia, announced the new link on its website.
Flights to Oslo should take place each Wednesday and Saturday, landing at Gardermoen airport. The airline currently flies to Oslo three times a week from Vienna; in summer, this should change to only twice a week. The prices of tickets should retail at between €50 and €300. From May 3 onwards, Norwegian Air Shuttle will add also Thursday and Sunday flights to Copenhagen, to which the now-defunct low-cost airline SkyEurope used to fly. Norwegian was established in 1993 and currently flies to 106 airports in 33 countries; its fleet comprises 62 Boeing 737 aeroplanes, Trend wrote.
