JÁN DRGONEC is the fifth deputy to leave the New Citizen's Alliance (ANO) ruling coalition party, reported the daily SME.

Drgonec blamed ANO chairman Pavol Rusko for his departure, saying that the party is run like a firm and not like a political party. He added that the ANO had not fulfilled its agreements.

ANO retorted by saying that Drgonec had joined four other deputies who had left the party because of "unsatisfied economic interests".

Drgonec will remain in parliament as an independent deputy. He promised that he would vote on coalition draft bills according to his views and not heedlessly for or against the coalition.
