SLOVAK Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda phoned US President George W. Bush to congratulate him on his re-election, the Slovak government's office announced. The PM also invited Mr Bush to be the first US President to visit Slovakia.
Dzurinda said he believes the multi-national democratic coalition will defeat terrorism and help stabilise the situation in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Middle East.
He assured Bush of Slovakia's commitment to press for closer cooperation between Europe and the USA.
