AT a February 22 NATO summit in Brussels, Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko confirmed his country's intentions to join NATO and the European Union.
Slovak Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda said he would like to see this happen.
Dzurinda feared, however, that Ukraine's journey towards NATO membership would take some time.
"I made a wish - and we wish this deeply in Slovakia - that one day we'll be able to welcome Ukraine as a full member at the NATO round table," Dzurinda said, according to TASR news agency.
