The number of first-time voters in the presidential elections is estimated to be around 410,000 of which 188,000 will be using their right to vote in any elections for the very first time. The voters can cast their ballot for one candidate by marking an “X” in a small square next to the name of the candidate, the SITA newswire wrote. There are seven candidates on the ballot.

Citizens can have any of their election-related questions answered at a special phone line run by the Interior Ministry at 02 4859 2020 and 02 4859 2021.
