THIS YEAR Slovak citizens should see several improvements that the electronisation of the judiciary is expected to bring. Most of the key projects of the electronisation will be carried out at Slovak courts in 2014, Justice Minister Tomáš Borec said, as reported by the SITA newswire.
All court hearings will be recorded, which should secure maximum transparency.
“At courts in Bratislava Region the pilot functioning of scanner stations will be launched for the electronisation of documents from hard copies,” Borec said, as quoted by SITA.
Court documents should be delivered electronically, which should considerably shorten the time for delivering documents, especially those sent between institutions, according to Borec.
The ministry is working on completing the project of electronic court files, and there are plans to introduce a requirement for forensic experts to record their journals exclusively in electronic form, which should allow for better control of their work.
