Employers claim that Slovakia’s Labour Ministry violated tripartite rules

The National Association of Employees (RÚZ) has urged the Ministry of Labour to withdraw from interdepartmental review a draft decree about the extension of the applicability of the higher-level collective agreement in the engineering sector between the Federation of Mechanical Engineering of the Slovak Republic and KOVO metalworkers trade union, the SITA newswire wrote.

Employers claim that the ministry "has flagrantly" violated all rules, not only those of the interdepartmental review process but also the rules applied to tripartite talks when it launched the review on the afternoon of June 30 and set its close for Friday, July 2.
