ELECTRICAL energy prices for households should increase by 2.41 percent on average in 2005 in Slovakia.
Clients of the Western Slovak energy distributor ZSE will remain unchanged. Central Slovakia's distributor, SSE, is increasing prices by 4.89 percent, and Eastern Slovakia's VSE will raise prices by 2.52 percent. The price increases already have the approval of the Slovak network regulatory authority, ÚRSO.
Due to the thorough deregulation of the energy market, the 2005 price hikes are the most moderate in recent years.
Prices for wholesale customers, such as large companies, are expected to fall next year, in some cases by as much as 12.85 percent.
