Following England’s 2-1 victory over Slovakia in European Championship football on October 12, the English Football Association has complained to European bodies about racist language used by Slovak fans against its black players and the shooting of two English fans outside a Bratislava night club.
Philip Holland, 30, was struck in the neck and Gareth Jones, 31, in the thigh by bullets apparently fired by privately employed security guards after a group of English fans refused to leave a pub at closing time early in the morning of October 12.
