MILOSLAV Šebek, previously head of the Slovak Land Fund (SPF), became the state secretary at the Environment Ministry on September 24. Prime Minister Robert Fico, who is also the leader of the main coalition party, Smer, nominated Šebek for the post, the SITA newswire wrote.
Šebek's position at the SPF will be filled by Miroslav Mihálik as of September 26.
Based on the coalition agreement, the post of the Environment Ministry state secretary is filled by the ruling coalition party Smer.
"Smer needs to have its people at strategic positions at ministries at which it does not have ministers," Fico said.
