EU-harmonised inflation at zero in Slovakia in September

Annual inflation in Slovakia measured according to EU methodology dropped to a record low of zero percent with average consumer prices unchanged year-on-year in September, the Slovak Statistics Office reported on Thursday, October 15, the TASR newswire wrote.

The biggest price increases y-o-y were recorded in alcoholic beverages and tobacco (9.1 percent), in healthcare (7.9 percent), and in education (5.6 percent). Consumer prices dropped y-o-y in transport by 5.9 percent year-on-year, in food and non-alcoholic beverages by 5.3 percent, and in furniture by 3 percent. TASR
