THE LAST evaluation report before the Slovakia’s entry to the EU will be voted on today in the European Parliament. The report will point out 10 areas in which Slovakia needs improvement, the Slovak daily Pravda wrote.
Apart from the situation of the Slovak Roma minority, which is seen as the most problematic area, the report will also mention the need for a continued fight against corruption as a priority of the Slovak government, improvement in the drawing of eurofunds, and the elimination of regional differences and unemployment in the country.
Slovakia must also make sure that it keeps to agreed conditions on the production of steel by U.S. Steel Košice and continues in its judicial reform.
