Only 11 percent of Slovaks think that the country's current economic situation is good, according to a public opinion survey published by Eurobarometer on December 22. The figures vary greatly across Europe, with up to 75 percent of citizens of Sweden, Luxembourg and Germany being generally happy with the economy unlike only 5 percent of people in Greece, Ireland and Spain, TASR reported.
When it comes to the economic situation in their own households, up to 43 percent of Slovaks approached think it is poor and 37 percent expect it to get even worse in the next 12 months. As for the impact of the current crisis on the situation in the labour market, up to 71 percent of Slovaks believe that it will get worse, TASR reported.
