A working group of the Party of European Socialists (PES) in the European Parliament will debate the new Slovak Press Code in Strasbourg on April 23, MEP Monika Flašíková-Beňová told the SITA newswire.
The second strongest faction in the European Parliament received opinions on the law from the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the permanent representation in Brussels.
Flašíková did not want to speculate about the likely outcome of the meeting, but MEP Vladimír Maňka (Smer) dismissed concerns that Smer would be sanctioned so soon after being reinstated to PES. SITA
