Opener: Discuss with your students the following questions: Why is education so important for jobseekers? What are the main problems young people have to face while looking for job? What is your dream job?

Reading: Read the Spectator College article together as a class (calling on different students to read different paragraphs), and tell students to underline any words they are not sure of as you read. Go over the words they don’t know, writing brief definitions on the board, instructing students to write down the definitions too.

Role play: Instruct students to simulate a job interview. Focus not only on questions employers may ask but also on an applicant’s preparation for interview and necessary etiquette.

Writing: Instruct students to write a short essay on the topic “What is more important for you – a job which brings you more money or one which brings you more joy?”
