Opener: Why is prevention so important to society? Why do people tend not to take advantage of preventive examinations? What are other ways to prevent diseases and illnesses besides preventive examination?
Reading: Read the Spectator College article together as a class (calling on different students to read different paragraphs), and tell students to underline any words they are not sure of as you read. Go over the words they don’t know, writing brief definitions on the board, instructing students to write the definitions down too. (15 minutes)
Speaking: Tell the students to describe an ordinary preventive examination conducted by the general practitioner. Then watch the video and tell the students to describe actions they forgot to mention.

Writing: Instruct students to write a short description of the whole process from diagnosis through visiting chemists to treatment of most common infections, such as flu, tonsillitis, bronchitis, or pneumonia.
