Two thirds of young businesspeople consider expansion abroad as inevitable for making their start-up projects profitable, according to the preliminary results of a poll carried out by the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Slovakia (ZMPS), which is being conducted in May and June 2013. The aim of the poll is to learn about the barriers and motivations of Slovak start-ups who want to do business on foreign markets, the TASR newswire reported on May 17.
According to the poll, around 67 percent of young Slovak entrepreneurs view the Slovak market as too small for success of their product or service, which makes expansion abroad a fundamental necessity for their business.
When asked about what kind of assistance Slovaks would welcome in relation to expansion abroad, legal consulting and information concerning foreign legislation are at the top, said Ján Solík from ZMPS, as reported by TASR.
