The government wants to cover a part of households' expenses as they make the transition from analog to digital television broadcasting, daily Pravda wrote.
A subsidy of Sk1,000 to Sk6,000 per family is being considered. Total subsidies might amount to Sk2.1 billion to Sk2.6 billion.
Slovakia is expected to switch to digital broadcasting by 2111 at the latest.
