Fancy hotel goes to High Tatras

LUXURIOUS European hotel network Kempinski Hotels and Resorts will take over the former Grand Hotel in Strbske Pleso to become the first international hotel network to establish itself in the High Tatras.

The High Tatras compose Slovakia's highest mountain range and is popular tourist destination throughout the year.

Kempinski Hotels and Resorts signed a contract to manage the spa facility spa company Kupele Strbske Pleso, the news agency SITA has reported.

The former Grand Hotel is known today as Hviezdoslav. Once it reopens under new management, the resort will be renamed to Grand Hotel Kempinski Vysoke Tatry.

Grand Hotel Kempinski Vysoke Tatry will open in 2006 and offer its guests top-notch service and their pick of 117 luxurious rooms and apartments.
